I founded this practice to continue my passion for mental health as well as expanding the space to work alongside other talented therapists. After graduating with a MSW from USC, I continued my training in both Southern California and New York City. I have worked in various mental health settings and have been in private practice for over 8 years. I am particularly well versed in adults dealing with depression and anxiety from an array of backgrounds, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. I am a compassionate, empathetic, analytical, and knowledgeable therapist. I look forward to working with you!
My therapeutic approach is guided by the philosophy that healing happens through connection. I strive to facilitate a process of healing that is client-led and welcomes all emotions. As your therapist, I believe in the power of being a compassionate witness and supporting individuals to access the power of their story. Taking the initiative to reach out for help can be difficult. My role is to guide you and facilitate a process that feels safe for you to begin to explore your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.
I have experience working with a range of diagnoses and topics including depression, anxiety, substance use, PTSD, pregnancy/postpartum, grief, identity formation, family/relational issues, and systemic oppression. My therapeutic approach is guided by psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed theory. Additionally, I incorporate components of CBT, DBT, MI, and harm reduction.
It is a privilege to hold space for your story and experiences. I believe in starting where you are and collaboratively tailor sessions in a way that best supports you. I welcome you with empathy, support, and genuineness.
Do you feel like you have little control over your thoughts? Do you have difficulty sharing and making sense of your feelings?
These issues may be the result of limited self-awareness, and/or challenges managing and regulating your emotions. These challenges can sometimes lead to difficulty managing conflict in your relationships with others whether at home, work, or socially.
As a first-generation Indian female, I have a unique perspective on culture and family dynamics. I understand the importance of cultural/social elements in one’s development and perception. Through these experiences, I have learned that therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” modality but instead requires consideration of each person’s unique background and culture.
I encourage space for honesty, expression, and authenticity while working with you to find what is most effective for YOU as an individual.
I am particularly interested in helping those struggling with anxiety, ADHD, body dysmorphia, depression, and attachment issues. In addition, I serve people dealing with cultural trauma.
My goal is to create a safe, empathetic, and collaborative space where clients feel supported in exploring their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. My therapeutic approach is rooted in a person-centered philosophy, emphasizing the importance of meeting each individual where they are and tailoring care to their unique experiences and needs.
I integrate evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while maintaining a focus on the client’s strengths and potential for growth. Valuing the power of connection and authenticity in the healing process, I foster a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to share their stories and work toward their goals.
With experience supporting clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, and stress management, I take a holistic, integrative approach that combines structured techniques with genuine compassion to help clients navigate life’s complexities and build resilience. I look forward to walking alongside you as you take steps toward healing and self-discovery.
I use a warm and compassionate approach to create a space where my clients feel safe and comfortable to explore difficult emotions and experiences. I practice from a mainly cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic lens, while also incorporating elements of acceptance and commitment therapy as well as internal family systems therapy. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in honors Psychology from McGill University and am completing my master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University.
Overall, I believe that using an integrative approach is the best way to meet the unique needs of individual clients. I aspire to help clients develop the tools needed to make positive changes and achieve their goals. I am eager to build strong therapeutic relationships and support my clients in their journey to well-being.
I understand that the role of a therapist is crucial in one's life and I am passionate about helping you reach your goals. Currently, I am receiving my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Columbia University. Using empathy and authenticity, I foster a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment, empowering clients to be open and vulnerable, while working towards facing their challenges and reaching their goals. My holistic therapeutic approach combines multiple modalities, helping clients understand their emotions and behaviors.
I strongly acknowledge that the needs and life experiences of each client are individual, each client has their own therapeutic journey. Clients can expect a collaborative relationship and a supportive environment to feel heard and understood. I am passionate about guiding clients through their healing journey and growing into their best version.
